Masque: Masquerade Affair a Huge Success
by Anthony on Nov.01, 2008, under Crew Love, Video
All news on my blog has been occuring with a bit of delay, I know and I apologize for that. Masque was last Saturday, October 25th and we brought out a great crowd. Masque was especially important not only because it was the first event since leaving the cubicle farm environment and running Culture19 full-time, but it was also the first event with Culture19 on the ticket alone. After talking to a lot of the attendees I can really say the mission is resonating amongst the market and they are responding.

I am still awaiting the video, but once I receive it I’ll post it. In the meantime, heres a celebratory shot taken. Thanks to Shonda for putting that together!

MASQUE Advance Tickets Printed Up
by Anthony on Oct.05, 2008, under Random

I found a local retail chain with great print rates, so I was able to get the tickets printed, and cut for the low-low. There is an ill Masque imprint in the ticket that is not visible in the picture, but is visible when you buy your tickets in advance! If you prefer more convenience hit Culture19.com and purchase your tickets.

I’ve always liked the Jae Millz song “On My Grind”, but unlike Millz I have still been in VIP. My grind is still on one hundred - thousand - trillion, however.

MASQUE : The Masquerade Affair 10-25-08
by Anthony on Sep.29, 2008, under Random

We are coming with a Masquerade affair for our October promotion. As always, there are a lot of great ideas with most confirmed including professional face painting, think elegant Venetian mask style designs, not football player lines across each cheek, and a group of models in extremely tasteful body-paint designs.
We are bringing DJ Kutta back because the guy is good - period, and we are returning to Gianni & Gaitano’s because the venue is spacious, well ventilated, and a few strategic reasons.
We are also bringing back the paparazzi. Initially the crazy coverage — tons of photographers, and a video crew — was supposed to be reserved for Hollywood South, but we figured out we were on to something. You wont see the red carpet, and media banners, however you will see a lot of camera’s flashing and photo opps. In fact, you can get used to seeing that anytime the event says Culture19.
Masque is going to be huge. The attention to detail, the features, the marketing, and the coverage will be what we are known most for. Masque will fall right in line with our mission. If you enjoyed Hollywood South, attending Masque will be a no-brainer. If you did not attend Hollywood South, man, first off you missed something absolutely great, but you can attend Masque and expose yourself to where Raleigh nightlife is being taken.

New Event: The Saga Begins — Again!
by Anthony on Sep.21, 2008, under Random
Today I began the process of planning the next event, which goes down Saturday October 25. Thursday I booked the venue, yesterday the DJ, and today I booked the security. The flyer was also designed today and it looks great. There isn’t much to report until the promotion goes public sometime this week with the release of the photos and video from Hollywood South.
Event Marketing Recap
by Anthony on Sep.18, 2008, under Startup
I have not been the most reliable blogger lately, but I am going to try my best to recap all that was not originally blogged over the past three weeks. For starters, we ran into a few problems with Brian Dawson and held a conference call (Wed, 9/03) to discuss the expectations. Everything was then ironed out and so I ordered the business cards with the lineup of promoters. I had to overnight them in order to receive them by the weekend:

The next day (Thursday) I worked on the banner design and placed my order. The banner came in Monday morning to the best of my knowledge.

So the promo material is in now it is time for one last video to excite the people. The first video was released two weeks prior and our audience is known to have a short memory. Morgan then hit the streets and tape the following:
At this point Brian still has not promoted in anyway so we knock him off of the ticket. No big deal life goes on. The next few days are fill with driving around making ticket, and table sales. A lot of mileage was put on the vehicle.
At this point I’m feeling great about the event and just ready to see how it all pops off. Saturday I begin to track the entire day through twitter and the Flip Video of course

My sister is now off in college at East Carolina in Greenville. I went to visit her last Sunday, a couple of days after her move in.
