Watch Me Not TV

My sister is now off in college at East Carolina in Greenville. I went to visit her last Sunday, a couple of days after her move in.

I keep a Barack Obama photo as my desktop wallpaper, not only because I support him but because it serves as a source of inspiration. No matter how many roadblocks appear in my journey I know that they are only a small fraction of those that Barack has faced and he continued to move forward. I will never face the same amount of adversity, neither in quantity or magnitude so I will never have a valid reason to give up on anything worth attaining.

I do not know if it is a trait of the Capricorn to fight until death, but I am learning when to exit the stage left. In previous years I looked at leaving before reaching the planned destination as failure, but I am learning there is a skill in determining when the time is right to abort.

With that said, I have decided to part ways with the partner for the same reason that has made me rely on no one but myself over the years — A lack of commitment, lack of drive, lack of hustle, and a lack of solid entrepreneur fundamentals.

I feel great. I will still aim to build a team, but I have one burden off of my back. The event is also complete in terms of vision, planning, and marketing tools so no midnight oil burning for me if the event has to be delayed. There may be a delay, but I will not lose.

I’ve been hustling…

That has been the tale of the past 96 hours. While I have been slacking on blogging, I have been working harder than ever on Hollywood South , but first the trailer:

Securing the venue, creating the website, updating the flyer, touching up the video, building the social network presence, and completely unnecessary 11th hour distractions — That has been my life for the past few days. In summary, Hollywood South is here, or coming depening upon your outlook. September 13 at Gianni & Gaitanos Triangle Town Center. The response has been crazy! The amount of photographers interested has been crazy! The hardest parts of the marketing have been completed, now it is time to drumm up the guestlist, push people to the promotions and other fun, social means of promotion.

Today I began drafting the list of venues to consider to host our flagship promotional event. While drafting the list has not been too time consuming, calling the managers / owners and explaining the details will be. Not to mention the task of seeking out an unknown venue with a great feel in a great location. I can see how one more individual would be ideal, but we’ll make it work with two and split the task.

The sponsorship packages are most important to me because that is the source of financial funding, but that is on hold until the date and venue is secured. I made contact with a DJ who we are interested in. We will discuss details later today and see where it goes from there.
